Banjotles

The Banjotles is a banjo heavy acoustic act dedicated to playing obscure versions of rock songs and original instrumentals on the banjo, guitar, and mandolin. The band originated Matt Frick and Chris Chandler on banjo and guitar. We recorded many arrangements of Zeppelin, STP, Beatles, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and many more when I lived in San Rafael, California and Portland, Oregon in 2005. Last year Banjotles 2.0 was revived with a super band including David Thomas, Sam Aranson, and David Young. We played a show in Chicago, and got a lot of great video footage you see below. Banjotles 3.0 is in the works in 2012 with Nick Vote and Michael Millicits.
