Ashton Farner and Matt Frick are students of Josh Hindmarsh from Hot Tonic. They are performing gypsy jazz and blues with a hint of newgrass influences creating a unique live experience in Tampa bay. Look for them at Pias’s Veranda, Cage Brewing, Grand Central Brewhouse, Nona Slice, Cigars International, The Grand Cathedral and Five Bucks Drinkery in Seminole.
The band is really progressing quickly. Playing original compositions, jazz standards, old style gypsy jazz standards, blues standards, and currently mixing in entire Bossa nova and bluegrass sets as well.
Currently Matt and Ashton are open for booking jazz/blues duos starting at $350 for 3 hours. Also trios and 4 piece bands available adding Amor Aggari on percussion and Hunter Fletcher on guitar. Trios start at $500, 4 piece $600.
Specials guests often including Eric Riddles, Josh Hindmarsh and the Hot Tonic Crew, Stacy Mitchell, Jess Gluzband, Amor Agarri and Hunter Fletcher.
